Papermation
Persistence Of Vision
Persistence of vision is the phenomenon of the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for approximately one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina, and believed to be explanation for motion perception. A flip book or phenakistoscope can be used as an example because of the speed in which it moves it tricks the eye.
Papermation
In Josh Ritter’s music video it uses all paper and the process is much like Claymation with the take a photo, next frame, take a photo. The process is much like south park but south park has changed to using computers to animate.
South Park
The reason they now animate with the computer is because they no longer have to take still photos, instead of it taking a year to make an episode it will only take about a month.
